Tuesday, February 02nd 2010New Song from The Bigger Lights"Jessie", the first single from The Bigger Lights debut full-length (out on March 30), is now streaming exclusively at Purevolume.com
"Jessie" will be available for download from iTunes and Amazon.com beginning next Tuesday, February 9. To celebrate, we're launching a lip-syncing video contest! Here's how it works:
1. Listen to Jessie at www.purevolume.com/thebiggerlights.
2. Make a video of yourself lip-syncing to Jessie.
3. Upload your video to www.sendspace.com and e-mail it to tblcontest@doghouserecords.com (do not e-mail files directly; they'll be too huge!)
Submissions are due at 11:59pm on February 12, 2010.
The best video will win the following:
** Their video posted right here on our official MySpace page.
** Free copies of our upcoming full-length album and Fiction Fever EP.
** An autographed poster.
** A super-limited, one-of-a-kind, 24" x 36" canvas print of TBL (this is probably the coolest fan piece you can ever get from TBL).

The Bigger Lights:The Bigger Lights have one rule and one rule only the music always comes first. Of course, this wasnt an overnight revelation. It took two and half years of pursuing music full-time for the Northern Virginia based quintet to realize that one of the hardest parts of being career musicians is learning how to put the music first. However, the bands self-discovery through the kind of confidence that only comes with experience is clear and present on their self-titled debut full length. On The Bigger Lights, vocalist Topher Talley, guitarists John Kendall Royston and Chris McPeters, bassist Dan Mineart, and drummer Ryan Seaman have written and captured a memorable collection of radio-ready pop/rock anthems, each with distinguishably diverse influences filling its own unique place on the album. With the release of their self-titled album on Doghouse Records, The Bigger Lights are entering 2010 with a newly rejuvenated sense of excitement and an even firmer dedication to their music first, business second mantra, one that just may make stars out of one of pop musics best kept secrets. ###
